People are surprised that Showplace was not our first choice for remodeling. The company we thought would do the work, the company we spent 8-weeks working with, and the company that would not return our deposit, turned out to be completely wrong. They promised just about anything we wanted, guaranteed us a fair and competitive price, but when it came time to deliver the estimate we were disappointed by the lack of ideas and the excessive cost. To make matters worse, when we voiced our disappointment they did nothing. It was a terrible start to our dream project. We were forced to interview additional remodelers and this turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. We met Dan Preisler. From the first meeting we knew that our remodeling project would be perfect. Dan is not a builder or a remodeler. Dan is a true craftsman, someone that is very rare this day and age. Dan will not cut corners and will only settle for the best, from himself to his subcontractors. By-the-way, his cabinet guy, Ron, does amazing work.
Our project was very large. It included a substantial addition, including a media room, enlarged kitchen, sunroom, and a complete remodel of the entire interior of our existing house. No room was left untouched. Our house was completely gutted, with Dan on-site for entire length of the project. We monitored the progress every couple of days. Dan was always on task, kept us informed, and best of all kept us on schedule. With a project this size, the homeowners also participate. From paint to tile to carpet to granite to cabinetry, you are always busy. Dan made sure we had top notch places to view product and make our selections. Not once did we have any kind of disagreement and we constantly solicited Dan’s input. Dan was always professional and truly a pleasure to work with.
If you have any doubts about hiring Dan and his company we want to help assure you that Dan is the right choice. You will not be disappointed by this work. We would recommend Dan to friends and neighbors (and have). In our minds, no one else will ever do any other remodeling for us. When you find perfection why would you choose anything else?

We have contracted with Dan Preisler for several home improvement projects throughout many years. Originally, we had Dan replace our siding, windows and exterior doors. It was beautiful, maintenance free and we were thrilled. A few years later, we asked him to add on a large “gazebo like” porch to the back of our home. All he had to work with was our vague ideas of what we wanted. After listening to our thoughts, he created an outdoor living space which has provided so much enjoyment for family and friends.
Recently, we desperately needed to gut our 1950’s kitchen. Dan spent many hours with us listening to our wants and needs, presenting possibilities, and finally came up with a plan which totally transformed an old outdated kitchen into a beautiful, efficient and welcoming room. Dan has a keen sense of function, art & design. He knows how to offer tasteful suggestions, within a budget, which works well with our own tastes. Even when we explained some very abstract ideas, Dan was able to put them down on paper so we could see exactly what was in our heads.
The finished projects have been of the highest quality, have been completed within the agreed upon time frame, and have always been within budget. If there ever was even the smallest problem, Dan was there to address it right away. He is a reliable, caring & talented craftsman. We would highly recommend Dan Preisler for any home improvement project, large or small. We trust Dan’s work, and have nothing but praise for all he has done for us. My husband and I contacted Dan when we wanted to remodel our 3 season porch into an addition onto our family room. We needed him to insulate it well, move heat into the room, match a preexisting wood floor and put in windows. He did an absolutely beautiful job. The room looks original to the house. We were very impressed with Dan’s plan. He showed us exactly what everything would cost and how and when it would get done. If any changes were made he adjusted the accounting. He was always on time, did what he said would be done, and always cleaned up. It is a beautiful thing to see your contractor sweeping the floors at the end of the day!
